From the Editor: This was the year that proved just how important travel is to the way we do business. This should have been the year, the second of the Great Global Recession, when technologies really proved their stuff. Teleconferencing, videoconferencing [...] and smart phones that can handle all of the above should have meant that business travel would finally become obsolete. Those who could, still flew the coop & met face to face instead of relying on current technologies. // The 2nd illustration considers the use of Twitter & other social media by business users, who are embracing new technologies to keep in touch with clients & colleagues.
